The Type II Surgical Facemask provides the highest standard of reliable barrier protection by way of a bacterial filtration efficiency of 98 per cent. This is also due to the materials used, as these facemasks are made with layers as follows: spunbond polypropylene then melt-blown then spunbond polypropylene. For a guaranteed proper fit during extended procedures, each mask is designed with a full-width nosepiece and ties for closing.
