Comfort Flo® Nasal Cannula

The Comfort Flo® Nasal Cannula is a high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) that delivers a defined mixture of pure oxygen and room air to the patient, as required during heated high-flow nasal cannula-based therapy. This delivery is possible by way of an air/O2 mixer and very high flow rates of up to 60 litres of O2 per minute. The device has the ability to improve pulmonary compliance, reduce breathing work and wash out dead space, leading to an improved fraction of alveolar gases. For enhanced comfort, the cannula features silicone nares. In addition, to encourage closed mouth treatments, an optional chinstrap is available. This may increase positive end pressure. And for a secure fit during patient movement, a bifurcated head strap is included.
