Channelled Round Drain with Trocar
Medline's Channelled Round Drain with Trocar helps prevent the accumulation of fluids or air, and removes dead space in a surgical wound. Made with 100 per cent medical-grade silicone, it offers a soft, flexible structure for kinking resistance. This drain has four continuous channels that allow for greater contact with tissue and provides multiple drainage routes to resist clogging. Due to channel design, removal may be less traumatic to surrounding tissues, in comparison with designs comprising holes. Additionally, a pre-attached trocar reduces set-up time during surgery. The trocar has been designed featuring three-sided points for atraumatic insertion. The Channelled Round Drain with Trocar is: Intended for closed suction drainage Transparent for clear visual drainage inspection Hubless, with a one-piece design Equipped with a blue radiopaque stripe for X-ray detection Fitted with an indicator dot to assist with drain placement Latex- and phthalates-free Packaged with an adapter for connecting the drain to a low-vacuum reservoir Available in 4 sizes: 10 ch, 15 ch, 19 ch and 24 ch. Along with the Channelled Round Drain with Trocar, Medline offers various other types and sizes of silicone drains.
